Mark Zuckerberg Aces Saturday Night Live Appearance

Mark Zuckerberg aced his Saturday Night Live appearance with Jesse Eisenberg, who portrayed him in The Social Network, and actor Andy Samberg.

Zuckerberg stepped up to the plate. He showed us that he is not the robotic, zombie-like social zero Eisenberg portrayed him to be. He looked amused…and very cool. Even Wired called his appearance “sporting.” 

We can learn plenty from Mark Zuckerberg. And not just about Facebook.

What We Can Learn from Mark Zuckerberg

A year or two ago, we knew little about Mark Zuckerberg. We knew he founded Facebook while at Harvard, dropped out to move to Silicon Valley, turned down more than a billion dollars and looked nervous during TV interviews.

That made him the perfect subject for “The Social Network.”  The film introduced us to a socially inept, driven, zombie-like nerd with about 3 friends. (By the end of the movie, he is a lonely, socially inept, zombie-like nerd with no friends.)

Initially Zuckerberg reportedly didn’t plan to see the movie.  But on the day of its release, he and his whole company went to see it. Then, he didn’t jump off the tallest building in Silicon Valley. He continued getting out of bed every morning and going to work. He didn’t threaten the filmmakers with lawsuits. (more…)
